Support

Strokidz offer a peer support to parents and families of children who have suffered a stroke.

With the group being made up of parents and survivors we have all experienced the, 'why us' syndrome, feelings of being on your own and the difficulty in explaining to your family and friends that 'stroke' does occur in epople from all ages including in utero.

We have included stories from members of our group, read the stories and share them with your family and friends. don't forget the tissues. Feel free to contact any of the parents who have their details attached to their particular story. Having somebody to talk to who has experienced a similar situation can be a huge step in the healing process.

You are welcome to attend our regular meetings at the Royal Childrens Hospital, Melbourne, or attend one of our informal social functions.
